Consultancy and Coaching

As the founder of Anchor HR – my own business - I use my expertise and experience to help and support clients and businesses develop to achieve high performance and success driven goals whatever those goals look like. My services include HR process development and HR business partnering skills workshops, one-to-one coaching programmes, mentoring, senor executive team development, the implementation of a coaching culture, creating learning & development programmes tailored to the client’s needs.

Having moved from general management role with a specialist HR function, to business and people development focused roles, I combine my experience of being a senior and line manager with the commitment to people development gained from a value added HR perspective.

I specialise in facilitating organisational, team and staff development using my insight of a very broad range of working practices to work with clients to achieve solutions that balance complex organisational issues.

My clients benefit from my experience of relating and communicating with staff at all levels of the business and my ability to understand quickly the important and complex issues underlying the presenting project.

My clients are wide ranging; from junior staff new to management to more experienced leaders operating for many years at a senior and strategic level, from large publicly funded organisations to small SME's and from those who want to set up an HR function to those who are keen to work on their cultural backdrop.

My own diverse working experiences means that I have the skills to help my clients develop ways of working, releasing potential and avoiding common place work based obstacles.

I deliver learning and development programmes, both by accredited or bespoke, working as a consultant for partner organisations. Recently I was lead curriculum designer for the Skills Development Fund pilot based in Milton Keynes.

I am also Programme lead for the CIPD suite of professional qualifications at NHC as well as contributing to the development of the Trailblazers apprenticeship framework for HR support (level 3) and the Higher HR apprenticeship (level 5) with the joint Employers/CIPD collaboration.

I feel that the business or personal solution lies with the client identifying for themselves what they want to achieve and I see my role as to support them in their progression towards that goal.

My genuine interest in the person and how they operate as an individual, team member, manager, or leader drives my commitment to the process of continuous improvement in the business context. I am determined to preserve the individuality and find bespoke solutions that reflect the person or the business.

Finding a balance between the individual needs and those of the business is particularly satisfying to me and I work in a style that is calm, pragmatic, adaptable, and supportive but always willing to challenge, when necessary, to support the clients’ journey.
