Helen Chapman is a highly qualified and accredited business coach, trainer and mentor. As the founder of Anchor HR – her own business - she uses her expertise and experience to help and support clients and businesses develop to achieve high performance and success driven goals. Anchor HR’s services include supporting the implementation of a coaching culture, HR process development and HR business partnering skills workshops, one-to-one coaching programmes, mentoring, senor executive team development apprenticeship programme management and learning & development programmes tailored to the client’s needs.

Moving from senior management Helen has specialised in learning and development working within further and higher education as well as facilitating organisational, team and staff development through a series of contracts to diverse businesses. Through this insight into over 500 organisations Helen has built up a wide range of knowledge of working practices that informs her advice on balancing complex organisational issues.

Helen’s clients benefit from her considerable experience of relating and communicating with staff at all levels of the business and her ability to understand quickly the important and complex issues underlying the presenting project. Her clients have come from different working backgrounds, from junior staff new to management, to more experienced leaders operating for many years at a senior and strategic level. Helen’s working experience means that she has the skills to help her clients develop ways of working, releasing potential and avoiding common place work based obstacles.

Helen delivers learning and development programmes, both by accredited or bespoke, working as a consultant for partner organisations. She also is the Programme Manager for the CIPD suite of professional qualifications at NHC as well as contributing to the development of the Trailblazers apprenticeship framework for HR support (level 3) and the Higher HR apprenticeship (level 5) with the joint Employers/CIPD collaboration.

Helen feels that the business or personal solution lies with the client identifying for themselves what they want to achieve and then Helen sees her role to support them in their progression towards that goal.

Helen’s genuine interest in the person and how they operate as an individual, team member, manager, or leader drives her commitment to the process of continuous improvement in the business context. Helen is very determined to preserve the individuality and find bespoke solutions that reflect the person or the business. Finding a balance between the individual needs and those of the business is particularly satisfying to Helen. She is calm, pragmatic, adaptable, and supportive but always willing to challenge, when necessary, to support her clients’ journey.
